The 9kg Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher is the largest in our range of ABE fire extinguishers and recommended for larger buildings, construction sites and in the industrial workplace, as well as for larger vehicles such as trucks, buses and larger boats.

ABE Fire Extinguishers are multi-purpose units for use in a variety of applications for both residential and business. It is the most widely used type of fire extinguisher suitable for fires occurring in the home, vehicle, boat, garage or caravan.
All extinguishers are supplied with a mounting bracket (either vehicle or wall hung), and discharge hoses on models 1.5kg or greater.

ABE Powder Type Fire Extinguishers are most suitable for the following classes of fire:
Class A – Paper, textiles, wood, most plastics & rubber
Class B – Flammable liquids
Class C – Combustible gases
Class E – Electrically energised equipment
Dry powder fire extinguishers are safe, versatile and recommended for high risk environments or in situations where the fire hazards are mixed. They are especially suited to spillages of flammable liquids such as paint, lpg, petrol and oil. Also recommended for fires involving flammable gases and is therefore ideal for fires in vehicles.
It is also suitable for live electrical equipment fires as well as normal combustibles like wood, plastic, rubber, paper and textiles. An ABE Fire Extinguisher is not suitable for fires involving cooking oil / fats.
The 9kg Dry Powder Fire Extinguisher is an excellent multi purpose fire extinguisher – still portable but can be used against quite a large fire. The extinguisher includes a hose which makes it easier to discharge to areas which are difficult to access.
